Seventh and Eighth Grade Capital Trip

Jefferson City
The 7th and 8th grade classes took a trip to Jefferson City on
October 18th. They visited the Missouri State Penitentiary,
The Missouri State Capitol, The Missouri Supreme Court,
and the Secretary of State's Office of Records. It was a long,
yet exciting, day filled with historical facts and details regarding
how our government works. Representative Ann Kelly provided
lunch before taking us on a tour of the Capitol building. The
Avilla PTO covered the cost of admission for all students and
staff at the Penitentiary. It is definitely a trip that these students
will never forget.
