My husband and I have been married for 38 years. We have a daughter and a granddaughter who play a significant role in our lives. I am a Christian and enjoy attending church with my family at Carthage Freewill Baptist. I began working with children at a church daycare center, later owning and directing a licensed childcare center before earning a degree and teaching in public schools.
